Three and the Silent Deep — scene 1

Sunlight dances through the shallow seas above our coral reef settlement. I am Three, and my duty is to watch over these vibrant gardens where my people have lived for generations.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 2

But something is wrong. The brilliant coral is turning brittle and gray, and the schools of silver fish are fleeing in terror. A strange, suffocating stillness has settled over the reef.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 3

I grip my bronze trident firmly, feeling its weight steady my resolve. The elders whisper of a sickness born in the deep, a darkness that hungers for the life we protect.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 4

I descend toward the abyss where the light fails to reach. The water grows colder, and the vibrant colors of the upper reef fade into the oppressive gloom of the deep.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 5

A massive shape shifts in the silt below. It is not a fish, nor a whale, but something ancient and jagged that pulses with a sickening, rhythmic violet light.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 6

My heart hammers against my ribs. I raise my trident, ready to strike, but the creature turns, revealing eyes that seem to mirror the very sickness consuming our home.

Three and the Silent Deep — scene 7

As the monster opens its maw, a voice resonates through the water, speaking in a language long forgotten. I realize then that this battle is far more complex than I imagined.
